Easily one of the most fragrant and identifiable flowers from Hawai’i, the Tuberose creates images of a lush tropical Hawaiian rain forest. These beautiful flowers are commonly found in perfumes, and are widely used in the making of Hawaiian Leis.
Approximately 12 species of Tuberose exist (Polianthes tuberosa,) and they are found in tropical areas. They are known to hold their fragrance long after being picked or harvested. And although commonly used in Leis making, they were once used as a funeral flower.
